LSW Jobs in Alaska
A Licensed Social Worker (LSW) is an integral part of the social service industry as they assist in the empowerment and liberation of individuals and communities. They should hold a minimum of a bachelor's degree in social work (BSW), although many positions require a master's degree in social work (MSW). LSWs must also complete state-specific licensure exams to practice. Prior to becoming a LSW, individuals might have roles such as a Case Manager, Community Outreach Worker, or Mental Health Assistant to gain practical experience in the field.
