This contract role involves supporting a special education caseload with a blend of direct service, consultation, and monitoring duties. Key Responsibilities: Provide counseling and support services to a special education caseload consisting of 13 direct students, 3 consult cases, and 3 monitoring cases Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) Address social, emotional, and behavioral challenges impacting student learning and development Participate in team meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary problem-solving and intervention strategies Manage documentation and caseload tracking in compliance with school and district guidelines Desired Qualifications: Licensed social worker with experience in K-12 educational settings Proven ability to handle special education caseloads, particularly with direct, consultative, and monitoring assignments Knowledge of 31N service requirements and strategies Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations and school staff Location: Battle Creek, Michigan This role provides an excellent opportunity for a social worker to engage dynamically in both special education and general student support within one cohesive position.
