Join our Justice Services team as a Social Worker I (Treatment Court Case Manager) and make a meaningful impact in the lives of justice-involved individuals. In this dynamic role, you'll play a key part in supporting participants through structured, rehabilitative pathways by working closely with court systems, treatment providers, and community partners. Youll use your organizational and interpersonal skills to help coordinate services, track progress, and foster collaboration among stakeholders. Serves as case manager for program participants
Obtains treatment court and other agency releases of information
Refers for treatment assessment to clinical entities; and assists in preparation of treatment plans.
Serves as liaison to agency partners such as adult probation officers, treatment providers, and social service agencies to monitor participant progress
Prepares written reports and provides oral information at staff meetings; schedules court status conferences, and makes written and oral reports to the court
Performs random drug testing and enters results of testing and other agencies into the database to team members
Enters detailed data on participants on a timely basis and maintains copies of court judgments in manual files
Enters data into a grant management information system
Ensures treatment court core team is staffed appropriately
Gathers additional partners and resources for effective program delivery and local community to include universities/community college
Bachelors degree in a human services field and two years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience in case management of veterans, human trafficking, and adults/families with substance abuse history.
Managers Preference: Experience with case management of veterans, substance users, juvenile, and/or families Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesKnowledge of the principles and practices of case management
Knowledge of interviewing methods and techniques
Knowledge of substance abuse and mental health assessments and services
Knowledge of diagnostic methods and principles
Knowledge of basic structure of the civil and criminal justice systems
Knowledge of MS Word and Excel to create communication documents and spreadsheets and MS PowerPoint to create presentations
Skills to safely operate a vehicle
Ability to identify symptoms of substance abuse
Ability to solve problems analytically; maintain records, files and reports
Ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
Ability to maintain cooperative working relationships with court staff and individuals outside of the judicial branch
Ability to develop and foster a spirit of teamwork to improve the quality of work teams and committees and to bring people from different agencies together to accomplish the goals of the program

Driving is an essential function of this position. To be considered, you must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. If your driver's license is from another state, you will be required to obtain and show proof of a valid NC driver's license within 60 days of hire.
