Job Title: Lead Primary Therapist

Department: Outpatient behavioral health

Location: 35 North St # 300, Canandaigua, NY 14424

Hours Per Week: 40

Schedule: Monday - Friday; Days, 8:00AM - 4:30PM

SUMMARY:

The Primary Therapist provides mental health diagnostic assessment, treatment planning, and mental health therapies for persons suffering from mental illness. Treatment is provided in the context of a clinical team, supervised by the staff psychiatrist. Leadership and/or supervisory duties as delegated by manager. Provide superior customer service by modeling the Brand Promise and Core Values.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides initial and ongoing assessment, counseling and clinical intervention to a designated caseload.
  • Provides individual, group, and family psychotherapy.
  • Participates functionally as a member of an interdisciplinary team in coordination and delivery of patient care.
  • Communicates in a timely and complete manner with internal and external care providers to complete ongoing assessment and to coordinate care.
  • Participates in and incorporates professional supervision and ongoing education toward quality care.
  • Utilizes efficient computer skills for electronic documentation.
  • Completes all required documentation in a timely and comprehensive manner.
  • Maintains a caseload, meeting productivity requirements as stated by the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health, and seeks to keep the incidence of failed appointments to a minimum.
  • Must maintain licensure in a timely manner.
  • Undertakes planning, problem solving and quality improvement activities regarding program functioning.
  • Pursues personal and professional growth using internal and external sources available for supervision/consultation to staff and provides direction, feedback, and positive feedback to supervisors.
  • Provides clinical supervision/consultation to the clinical team or program staff as delegated by manager.
  • Assists Team Leader/Manager in assuring smooth, effective delivery of care in response to community requests for services, as delegated.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • LCSW, LMHC, LMSW, LMFT, or LCAT
  • Masters Degree in Human Services field required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Five to seven year of experience preferred.

$69,500.00 - $94,500.00
