Since 1978 New Horizons and our community have chosen to see young people experiencing homelessness as some of our community’s most cherished assets; full of beauty, worth, and dignity.
Young people experiencing homelessness in King County are arriving at New Horizons with trauma from broken relationships, domestic abuse, mental health concern, and co-occurring substance use disorders. Our community tragically remains a place where the most vulnerable young people are disproportionately underserved, often resulting in lifelong trauma. New Horizons remains resolutely committed to being a safe, welcoming, and youth-centric service provider, unapologetically aiming to end homelessness for young people.
New Horizons is a community organization, supported and empowered by those who believe in the importance of this work. We take this opportunity and responsibility seriously. To accomplish our work, we pull from our unique values, center the work of racial equity in every aspect of our work and outcomes, and draw upon the compassionate center of our faith tradition.
We strive to be an organization that will continue to spark optimism, faith, and hope even in the darkest of days.
