Children's Minnesota is seeking a Casual Behavioral Health Clinician (psychologist or LICSW) to join the Integrated Behavioral Health team in our primary care clinics around the Twin Cities metro area.
SUMMARY
Children's Health Network is a clinically integrated network consisting of independent physician owned and Children's Minnesota owned primary and specialty care practices. The Behavioral Health Clinicians are psychologists, social workers, and counselors who work closely with primary care providers to provide coordinated, convenient, cost-effective behavioral health services for children and adolescents at their primary care clinics. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a multidisciplinary environment, providing impactful mental health support to children and families within a primary care setting. As an integrated part of the clinical care team, the Behavioral Health Clinician provides short term mental health services, consultation, brief assessments, and treatment planning with children and their families.
The casual position would be needed when one of the Behavioral Health Clinicians is out for an extended or intermittent leave. This could range from 2 weeks to 5 months.
Monday - Friday, 8 am - 4:30 pm
Coverage needs may range from 1 day per week to as many as 8 to 12 per month.
Children's Minnesota has a team of dedicated clinicians for each of our sites. Locations include: St. Paul, Minneapolis, St. Louis Park, Maple Grove, Minnetonka, Rogers, Brooklyn Park, West St. Paul, and Hugo.
LICSW Required Education/License:
Master's degree from an accredited counseling, social work or marriage and family therapy program
LICSW, LMFT, or LPCC or licensure eligibility to provide clinical mental health services under supervision in the State of Minnesota.
BLS certification (Basic Life Support)
Experience in counseling in a primary care setting or pediatric specialty clinic preferred.

Psychologist Required Education/License:
Licensed or licensed eligible psychologist in Minnesota.
Doctoral degree (Ph.D., Psy.D.) in Psychology and completion of a clinical internship and postdoctoral fellowship from an APA-approved program
Experience in counseling in a primary care setting or pediatric specialty clinic preferred.
Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to manage competing demands in a fast-paced clinic environment.
- Strong clinical skills with ability to exercise independent judgment, work autonomously, and exhibit high degree of professionalism.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Clinically skilled in working with kids ages 3-20, as well as working with parents.
Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Strong understanding of child development, normal and atypical.
- Ability to develop rapport with wide variety of patients and families.

The posted salary represents a market competitive range based on salary survey benchmark data for similar roles in the local or national market. Annual salaries displayed are based on full-time employment (40 standard hrs per week). Annual salaries for part-time positions will be prorated based on the employee's scheduled weekly hours in relation to the full-time standard.
