Classroom Counselor/Clinician

The Ottauquechee School is looking for a classroom counselor and/or mental health clinician to join our team. The Classroom Counselor/Clinician will provide direct clinical services to children with emotional disturbance and/or developmental trauma in across school settings. Clinical services will be provided within the classroom/school milieu with some opportunity for individual psycho-therapeutic intervention. This position will work in partnership with educators to implement educational and therapeutic interventions with the students. Job Requirements
Job Requirements:Candidate must hold a minimum of a bachelors degree in a mental health field with at least a minimum of three years experience, or a masters degree in clinical psychology, clinical social work, or clinical mental healthThe ideal candidate would have experience working with childrenStrong clinical skills in understanding developmental trauma and emotional disturbancesThe ability to implement research-based treatment plansExperience in the design of behavioral support plans at schoolAbility to communicate effectively with students, parents and school teamsStrong crisis intervention skills.
