The Social Work Supervisor III provides direction, support, and leadership to a team of social workers who provide direct services to families. In this role, you will assign cases, manage workflow, and provide ongoing case supervision and oversight. Additionally, the Social Work Supervisor III is responsible for staff training, problem resolution, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality and timely services. This position also involves participating in the recruitment and selection of staff, as well as evaluating work performance and service delivery. Accurate preparation of records, reports, and documentation is also a key responsibility of this role.

- A Child Protective Services Investigations/Assessments Social Work Supervisor III supervises a team of social workers who investigate allegations of abuse, neglect, or dependency. The primary goal of this program area is to ensure child safety while connecting the family with resources to strengthen the family unit and prevent children from entering DSS custody.
- An In -Home Services Social Work Supervisor III supervises a team of social workers who partner with families when the child(ren) are at risk for removal from the home. The goal of this program area is to ensure child safety, connect the family with resources, strengthen the family unit, and prevent children from entering DSS custody.
- A Permanency Planning/Foster Care Social Work Supervisor III supervises a team of social workers who partner with parents/caregivers who have lost custody of their children due to abuse, neglect, or dependency issues. The primary goal of this program area is to address the safety concerns and risk factors that led to the removal and provide resources to assist with reunification with the parent/caregiver or an alternative permanency plan for the child.

- Masters degree in social work from an appropriately accredited institution and two years of directly related experience; or
- Bachelors degree in social work from an appropriately accredited institution and three years of directly related experience; or
- Masters degree in a human services field from an appropriately accredited institution and three years of directly related experience; or
- Bachelors degree in a human services field from an appropriately accredited institution and four years of directly related experience; or
- Bachelors degree from an appropriately accredited institution and five years of directly related experience; or
- An equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
