This is a 2-year grant funded, in-person position that will be 15-20 hours/week during Fall, Winter, and Spring terms. Student status not required.
The Bilingual ECE Navigator plays a vital role in supporting Spanish-speaking students enrolled in the Early Childhood Education (ECE) program. This position serves as a bridge between students and the resources they need to succeed—providing culturally and linguistically appropriate guidance related to academic programs, grant and financial aid opportunities, and student support services.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Spanish-speaking students in the ECE program.
- Provide one-on-one and group support to help students understand the ECE program structure, requirements, and timelines.
- Assist students in navigating grant opportunities, including application processes and eligibility requirements.
- Connect students with on-campus and community-based resources such as academic advising, childcare, transportation, and financial aid support.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of student interactions, referrals, and progress.
- Translate and interpret information related to ECE programs and services as needed.
- Collaborate with faculty, advisors, financial aid staff, and community partners to promote student success.
- Participate in outreach efforts to recruit and retain Spanish-speaking students in the ECE program.
- Work weekdays as well as some evenings and/or weekends.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (oral and written fluency required).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work with individuals from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
- Proficiency in basic office software and ability to learn institutional systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Early Childhood Education programs or experience in the ECE field.
- Experience in student support, education, social work, or related field.
- Experience working in higher education or grant-funded programs.
- Knowledge of local community resources and services available to students and families.
- Associates degree or two years of experience in early childhood care, customer service, student support, administrative professional or similar field.
