Finson Road, a placement for older adults with prolonged mental health issues has an immediate opening for a Direct Care Counselor Wednesday to Saturday 6am-4pm. Our residents require support and encouragement to remain as independent as possible. Our Direct Care Counselors must possess skills to oversee and organize their shift, provide care management, supervise and assist in the development of skills and fostering abilities, in addition to providing nurturing support and direct care to our program participants.

An associate’s degree in human services or a related field would be preferred; however, equivalent experience is also acceptable. It is important for candidates to have the ability to recognize each of our clients’ uniqueness and needs. Candidates must be flexible, possess the ability to be multi-tasked, and have a willingness to learn the clinical issues of individuals with mental illness, as well as the cognitive deficits and multiple medical conditions that accompany the individual during the aging process, and how these often work together.
