Job Description
During monthly, professional learning community/department/content/grade level meetings, the Teacher Leader will:
- Foster a collaborative culture to support educator development and student learning.
- Access and use research to improve practice and student learning.
- Promote professional learning for continuous improvement.
- Facilitate improvements in instruction and student learning.
- Promote the use of assessments and data for school and district improvement.
Knowledge, Experience, and Training
Candidates should possess the following:
- Experience analyzing data and using results to identify areas of strength and weakness in instruction and student learning.
- Ability to model, coach, and provide feedback to individual teachers and teams of teachers to improve teaching practice.
- Ability to work cooperatively with colleagues.
- Understanding of adult learning theory.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and facilitation skills.
Qualifications
- Minimum five (5) years of teaching experience
- Performance rated as Accomplished or Distinguished
Terms of Employment
One hour, one day per month from September 2025 through May 2026
Compensation
$1,000 per semester
