JOB DESCRIPTION:

The ICL Education Coordinator manages ICL’s internship and educational placement program by coordinating with program leadership and schools, maintaining placement inventories, and overseeing intern onboarding and support. This position will report to AVP of Workforce Development and will collaborate on the coordination of all placements. In addition, the education coordinator will track intern data, lead intern orientations and follow-ups, resolve issues, and collaborate on intern-to-employee conversions and program evaluation.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Manage ICL’s internship and educational placement program.
  • Create and regularly update an inventory of available placement opportunities throughout the agency by communicating with program leadership.
  • Create partnerships with educational institutions, including participating in internship fairs, outreaching to schools, and coordinating with school field advisors.
  • Collaborate with ICL’s VP of Workforce Development in the completion and tracking of Affiliation Agreements
  • Manage ICL Learns.
  • Communicate directly with employee interns and external interns to complete applications, information forms, work schedules, and background checks.
  • Work with onboarding specialists to ensure that all students complete proper background checks.
  • Once a semester, meet with talent acquisition to review potential conversions of current interns to employees.
  • Regularly update spreadsheets tracking all the current interns at the agency.
  • Facilitate orientation for new students.
  • Hold quarterly follow-up meetings with students and field instructors to ensure all requirements of the internship are being met.
  • Problem-solve issues that arise for students and field instructors.
  • Assist in data analysis to determine program outcomes and evaluate success of internship program.
  • Other duties, as assigned by Supervisor.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree, with a background in psychology, sociology, or human services. Demonstrated interest in people with behavioral health (mental health, substance use) issues, and/or intellectual and developmental disabilities.
