Mount Carmel Behavioral Health is seeking an experience Lead Outpatient Therapist or Outpatient Manager to join the team!

As the Lead Outpatient Therapist or Outaptient Manager , you will hold a pivotal role in overseeing the seamless operation and strategic direction of clinical support activities at our facility. With a primary focus on maintaining high standards of care, your responsibilities will encompass the comprehensive management of program goals, staff, resources, and equipment. Leveraging your substantial background in behavioral health, alongside at least two years in a managerial/supervisory/team lead capacity, you will implement program objectives and timelines, oversee the budget, and enforce policies that enhance participant involvement and program efficacy. Additionally, your leadership will ensure compliance with critical standards and laws set by TJC, Medicare, and other regulatory bodies. This role requires a proactive, empathetic leader committed to nurturing a positive environment and driving continuous improvement in both patient care and staff performance.

  • Apply psychotherapeutic techniques and interventions in the delivery of services to individuals and families for the purpose of treating such diagnosed emotional and mental disorders.
  • Conduct individual, group or family therapy as appropriate for the treatment plan of the patient
  • Conduct a psychosocial assessment and develop an initial discharge plan.
  • Provide initial treatment planning for patient based on assessment and coordinate any additional services needed and revise as necessary.
  • Maintain documentation of therapy services provided to each patient according to facility and professional standards, revising as necessary.
  • Maintain a caseload as assigned.
  • Participate in treatment team meetings and collaborate with other staff to facilitate services for the patient as appropriate to their treatment plan.
  • May provide these services in an inpatient or patient setting.
  • Provide case management, discharge planning or after-care planning according to treatment plan.
  • May assist in educating and training staff on behavior management or therapeutic crisis intervention.
  • May coordinate various clinical, psychosocial or educational activities with patient and their families.
  • Evaluate patient's need and determine if referrals to other program or facilities are needed.
  • May assist in the training of new clinical staff and interns. May assist in the development of clinical programming
  • May coordinate the activities of other clinical and direct patient care personnel, providing direction and clinical guidance.
  • Demonstrate a positive, empathetic and professional attitude toward customers always. When patient needs are not met, acknowledge and work to resolve complaints. Recognize that patient safety is a top priority.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or other therapeutic field OR PhD in Clinical or Counseling Psychology is required.
  • 5+ years’ experience as a therapist with two or more years’ experience with the specific population of the facility is required.
  • 1-2 years with PHP/IOP level of care highly preferred
  • LPC, LCSW, LCPC, LMFT, licensed psychologist or equivalent required
  • State or national licensure for professional therapy providers required.
  • CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
  • First aid may be required based on state or facility.
