ABOUT FRANKLIN COUNTY COMMUNITY BASED CORRECTIONAL FACILITY:

The Franklin County Community Based Correctional Facility (CBCF) is a minimum security, American Correctional Association (ACA) accredited, residential prison diversion program for adult male offenders. The Franklin County CBCF is a 180-bed facility that houses adult male offenders (referred to as "residents") for a maximum of 180 days. The CBCF believes community safety is of upmost importance. Second is targeting residents' criminogenic needs via intense cognitive behavioral programming in an effort to reduce their likelihood of recidivating.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The Clinician position plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality mental health and addiction services to residents at the Franklin County Community Based Correctional Facility (CBCF). This position is responsible for providing mental health and substance abuse assessments, treatment planning, and individual counseling to residents referred to the facility due to identified mental health or dual diagnosis needs. The Clinician observes, monitors, and interacts with residents on the mental health caseload or specialty docket through the court, ensuring their needs are addressed in compliance with established policies, procedures, and legal standards. The Clinician also provides individualized treatment and coordinates medication-assisted treatment (MAT) services for residents who are receiving MAT and substance use treatment. This role operates in alignment with the National Association of Social Workers Code of Ethics and within the boundaries of the Social Worker's scope of practice.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Work involves a significant amount of standing, walking, sitting, talking, listening, and reaching with hands and arms. Must be able to transfer up to fifty (50) pounds. Visual ability must be sufficient to operate equipment, if necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree (REQUIRED) or higher in social work or related field. Must possess active LSW Licensure or be exam eligible at time of application submission. Two to three years' experience in corrections, psychology, criminal justice, social work, substance abuse treatment, mental health, or a related field with human services delivery in a residential setting preferred. Must have proficient computer skills. Must have good interpersonal skills as well as excellent verbal and written communication. Must be willing to work evenings and weekends. A valid Ohio Driver's license and a good driving record are required.
