Job Description

Project Patch seeks a Clinical Program Director to manage and oversee the therapy department of our Christian faith-based Residential Behavioral Treatment Center. We are located in a nature lover's paradise in beautiful Garden Valley, Idaho (about an hour's drive from Boise).

Our Clinical Program Director must be a Licensed Clinical Social Worker LCSW, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Clinical Counselor, or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor.    The preferred candidate is self-directed, optimistic, dependable, ethical, with a willingness to lead.  This position requires the Clinical Supervisor to have a passion to help adolescents who are struggling with behavioral health issues. Our programs consist of individual therapy, group therapy, and family therapy. Treatment focuses on promoting healthy management of unhelpful behaviors through Dialectal Behavioral Therapy and other therapeutic modalities accompanied by a range of outdoor and educational activities.

 

Educational Requirements

  • Must hold a Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in a behavioral science

 

Age and Experience Requirements

  • Must be at least 25 years of age at the time of appointment
  • Two years of experience 
  • Experience with Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) preferred

 

Certification Requirements

  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Clinical Counselor or Licensed Professional  Counselor
  • Once hired, must obtain and maintain Idaho licensure
  • Adult CPR/ First aid certification

 

Responsible to:

  • Administrative committee
  • Youth Program Administrator

 

Duties

       Encourage spiritual growth in clients by:

  • Providing an example through living a life consistent with Christian principles.
  • Mentoring clients on spiritual issues through prayer, personal example, and discussion.

 

   Supervisor Responsibilities

  • Provide supervision of all therapists, therapist interns, including clinical supervision hours for those pursuing clinical licensure
  • Provide oversight of all clinical records and therapy
  • Conduct weekly treatment team meetings
  • Field occasional phone inquiries/concerns from parents/guardians
  • Facilitate monthly psychiatric medication management appointments
  • Liaison with psychiatric providers when needed
  • Ensure program adherence to Dialectical Behavioral Therapy model
  • Plan and facilitate at least two Parent Weekends per year
  • Conduct staff evaluations for treatment department
  • Provide on-call assistance after hours
  • Organize Home Leave schedule
  • Communicate with the insurance biller when necessary
  • Review prospective client applications
  • Work with Admissions Director in conducting intakes including attending intake interviews

 

   Therapist responsibilities

  • Conduct individual, family and group crisis counseling/ therapy for small client caseload.
  • Teach Dialectical Behavioral Therapy classes (DBT)
  • Maintain documentation for individual caseload client files
  • Respond to insurance requests for client information 
  • Field phone and email inquiries from parents/guardians of individual caseload clients
  • Provide weekly communication with parents through email or phone calls.
  • Supervise family visits
  • Maintain communication logs
  • Work with shift supervisors to assure satisfactory completion of required documentation
  • Act as a case manager in the administration of medications
  • Provide feedback on clients' progress
  • Communicate with medical professionals
  • Participate in advisory committee meetings as requested
  • Participate in daily activities with staff and clients, including but not limited to recreation, worships, and work projects
  • Assist supervision staff with group closure
  • Attend dorm staff meetings

 

   Administrative responsibilities

  • Assure implementation and communication of administrative decisions
  • Support the development of, revision of, and adherence to program policies and procedures
  • Fill in as needed with staffing
  • Attend general and departmental staff meetings
  • Attend new employee interviews
  • Conduct staff training as requested
  • Provide on-call Administrative assistance.
  • Ensure employee adherence to the Level Program
  • Maintain open and appropriate lines of communication with other departments and co-workers
  • Promote and abide by policies, procedures, and standards
  • Provide for the care, welfare, safety, and security of the clients in our care
  • Occasional travel for operations and public relations
  • Other duties as assigned

 

   Training Requirements

  • Informed Crisis Care training
  • General facility staff training
  • 20 hours of ongoing training annually
