What happens after a candidate submits a freelance proposal?
You’ll receive an email and dashboard notification when a new candidate submits a proposal for your project. You can also view new candidates in the “My Candidates” tab or by selecting “Candidates” next to the appropriate job in the “Manage Jobs” section.
Once you click on a candidate’s name, you’ll see their application, which includes a bid. The bid may or may not align with the budget you’ve set; it is what they are willing to work for.
Under the “Application” tab, you’ll also see their proposal, where they share why they are a good fit for your role.
Select the “Profile” tab to view the candidates’ iHire profile, which can include their photo, last activity, work samples, strengths and interests, resume, and more details to help you make informed hiring decisions.
From the candidate’s profile/application, you can take the following actions:
- Text or email the candidate directly through our platform.
- Send an interview request.
- Send an offer.
- Disqualify the candidate.
You can also tag the candidate to indicate where they stand in iHire’s applicant tracking system (interviewing, pipelined, etc.), or add them to a specific talent pool.
