Overview

continued is seeking a CEU Administrator to provide support and leadership to position continued at the forefront of online professional development for social workers. The position involves identifying continuing education needs for social workers across all US jurisdictions, managing documentation for our continuing education courses, pursuing course approvals where necessary, and ensuring compliance with best practices in continuing education for social workers. The goal is to expand the value of our service to current and potential members. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, process driven and an excellent communicator. The CEU Administrator will work with the educational technology, editorial and continuing education administration teams to collaborate on the development of quality, relevant continuing education content for our members.

Responsibilities

  • Review, process, and manage all CEU information related to courses developed for social workers, including accurate management of course details within the continued administrative system.
  • Ensure compliance with requirements set forth by the associations approving courses, and with processes and procedures for best practices in continuing education.
  • Research, monitor, and document state and national requirements for professional development for social workers, including certification requirements.
  • Identify and help develop compliance courses for state and certification requirements.
  • Pursue course approvals as needed (eg. individual state licensing boards and other professional associations).
  • Manage CEU reporting to state and national associations as needed.
  • Facilitate relationships with state, national, and in some cases international associations to advance the company’s position as a leader in online continuing education for the professionals served.
  • Provide support with preparation, editing, facilitation and support of online courses.
  • Provide customer support for members regarding continuing education inquiries.
  • Participate in projects related to overall site improvement.
  • Develop expertise in the area of CEU administration for social workers, to serve as an internal resource for the entire continued team.

Performance Measurements

The CEU Administrator will be measured on:

  • Strength and depth of research of state requirements for social work licensure;
  • Accurate management of course details within the continued course admin system;
  • Timely submission of courses and CE Reports to relevant CE Associations; and
  • Ensuring compliance with provider policies and requirements by the relevant CE Associations.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

  • Degree in social work
  • State license in social work in good standing
  • Work experience in social work field preferred
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills, and strong interpersonal skills to communicate clearly with all internal and external team members
  • Ability to independently organize and prioritize workload, with strong attention to detail

Other Requirements

  • Able to work from home during regular business hours
  • Able to travel occasionally for department and company meetings as well as conferences
