Job Description

The Exclusive Hawaii on the Big Island of Hawaii is seeking a confident and skilled licensed therapist who is excited to be part of a small residential treatment center that deeply cares about making a difference in people’s lives. We are looking for a licensed therapist who would fully connect with our innovative, non-12-step methodology of Core Belief Restructuring (CBR), and demonstrate a commitment to being trained in this powerful methodology. This licensed therapist will have an impeccable work ethic, an open heart and excitement to transform the lives of individuals who struggle with addiction.

Reports To: Program Director

Location: Big Island of Hawaii (Hamakua Coast)

Salary: DOE

Classification: Full Time

Summary:

The licensed therapist shall be responsible for providing a full range of drug/alcohol treatment, as well as prevention and aftercare recovery services for clients and their families as needed. The licensed therapist shall carry out their duties with professional and personal integrity while being a team member, providing continuity of care in compliance with Hawaii state licensing and CARF/AAAHC standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Consults with other therapists and related professional staff, as appropriate, in the performance of therapeutic and/or casework
  • Provides individual, family, and group counseling
  • Prepares clear, concise, and comprehensive caseload records, while making sound recommendations on the basis of such information, as well as effectively organizing and managing a caseload (e.g. Treatment Plans, DAP notes, Individualized Recovery Plan, Crisis Plans, Discharge Plans, etc.)
  • Collaborates in developing clinical programs and materials
  • Participates in occasional local, as well as out of the area training, as required for job.
  • Attends all required meetings and functions as requested
  • Conducts bio-psycho-social assessment, communicates needed information to the appropriate team members
     
  • Conducts admissions for new clients, including paperwork and luggage search
     
  • Conducts family/partner sessions
     
  • Conducts Concurrent Reviews for insurance, while providing necessary insurance to our biller
     
  • Supervises clinical staff working on their licensures

Responsibilities include all the above and any other duties or tasks required by management.

Requirements:

  • Must be a licensed therapist
  • Must have, at a minimum, five years’ experience in providing counseling therapy
  • Must be willing and able to respect the rules of confidentiality
  • Must possess valid driver’s license, good driving record, and be insurable
  • Must test annually for TB
  • Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening test, as well as annual medical exam
  • Must agree to maintain a current CPR/First Aid Certification
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills while being a persuasive and effective communicator with excellent public speaking skills
