Attempts to locate natural parents of adoptive children to inform and assess them about issues regarding the adoption hearing. Answers general inquiry calls and letters pertaining to the adoptive process. Assists other regions and other states through the inter-state compact agreement. ADOPTION SUBSIDY DUTIES IN REGIONAL OFFICES: Contacts adoptive family on an annual basis to request financial and medical treatment information to determine continued entitlement to an adoption subsidy. Maintains a tickler system in the region for Adoption Subsidy cases. Evaluates renewal application to determine amount of maintenance payment and scope of special service subsidy. Advises adoptive family of status of renewal application. Directs subordinate staff to load payment authorizations on TIPS.
