Job Title: Social Work Supervisor Company: Family Support Services, Inc Location: Philadelphia, PA Description: Supervisor for In Home Protective Services for Cognitively Impaired Parents:supervise the provision of safety driven In Home Protective Services by 5 case managers and 4 case aides serving a maximum of 25 families at one time. Families have at least one identified safety threat and parents are at the high end of the cognitive impairment spectrum. Best practice service delivery is strength based with home visitation a minimum of 3 times per week, 3 to 5 hours,with alone time with children. Family engagement and measurable goals will reduce safety threats and resolve risk factors thereby strengthening the overall functioning. Goal is to enhance parental capacities via a safety plan while maintaining children in their own homes via measurable steps within a 1 year period (extension approval required). Aim is to embrace the families existing parental capabilities through intervention in a minimally intrusive, short term (time limited) manner, via existing community resources and by continually assessing and developing the proficiency(s) already found within the family unit. Responsible for weekly supervison, daily review of worker's casenotes and submission of all notes and a supervisory review document on a weekly basis.
