Program Director Of Residential Therapeutic Services Description The Potter’s House Homes For Children is seeking a Program Director for its Residential Program located in Dekalb/Gwinnett county Georgia. The Program consists of 18 beds that provide Room and Board and Watchful Oversight to males between the ages of 6 to 18 years of age. These positions will provide the coordination of services for children within program and supervision of staff throughout three residential facilities. Each facility consist of six beds each and the individuals will be responsible for staff development and compliance with state and federal laws, licensing agencies, and the Potter’s House Homes For Children company’s policies and procedures. This is a senior level management position, must have excellent management skills. Candidate will manage up to 20 staff members. Ensure that delivery of services by all staff is congruent with Individual Resiliency Plans and requirements by State and County agencies. • Schedule staff to ensure adequate program coverage and appropriate resident rehabilitation assignments. • Assure that the program’s housekeeping, dietary, and other basic life needs are being met. • Develop and maintain relationships within the community to foster being a good neighbor. • Maintain and develop relationships with volunteers interested in supporting the program. • Assure compliance with all applicable licensing regulations. • Ensure that all staff is working as a team. • Provide regular individual and group supervision of staff to include regularly scheduled staff meetings. • Assure that vacancies are filled by interviewing and recommending selected candidates for hire to the Human Resources Department. • Provide site orientation for new staff and ensure care coordination, training, supervision, and ongoing support of employees. • Handle disciplinary issues by discussing them with Director and the Human Resource Department. • Ensure all required appointments (Health, Dental, Mental Health Treatment Services, Visits, etc…), documentation, including incident reports, is completed in a timely, comprehensive, and legible manner. • Develop Treatment Plans and able to effectively communicate and consult with Mental Health professionals concerning treatment milieu. • Participate in team meetings and case conferences. • Participate in supervision, trainings, and other assigned committees or task forces. • Must have strong oral and written clinical communication skills. • Must be detail oriented • Must be able to work in a stressful environment. • Must be stable emotionally and mentally • Must provide honest work, good leadership and have good character • Must be well organized and can perform multiple task simultaneously • Must be able to meet deadlines • Must have experience with Microsoft Word Office Suite. Direct clinical experience working with youth or young adults, preferably individuals with multiple occurring disorders. Must have a general clinical expertise in child development, case management, behavior management, treatment planning and diagnosis. This individual must be able to effectively relate to residents, clients, and parents/custodians of all social, economic, ethnic and educational backgrounds. Individual must be able to demonstrate good decision making ability as it relates to the safety and well being of clients and staff. This individual will be required to analyze and react to difficult situations, often while under considerable stress and pressure. Requirements 5 years experience in the field of residential child treatment services. 7 years supervisory experience in at a minimum middle level management preferred. Masters Degree in the Human Services or Social Science field. LPC, LCSW, LMFT preferred. Salary: $36,500 to$45,000 with license, $34,500 to $40,000 without license.
