The Department of Health and Social Services, Office of Children's Services, is looking for an experienced professional in the field of child protection to supervise the Sitka and Petersburg Field Offices.
We are recruiting for a Social Worker IV; Children's Services Supervisor position.
The position is located in Sitka and supervises up to five Children's Services Specialist / Social Worker staff; including two positions in Sitka, one position in Petersburg, and up to two positions in Juneau.
The Supervisor is responsible for supervising generalist child protection workers and must be knowledgeable about all components of the OCS Practice Model, particularly in initial assessments and family services.
This position leads staff in achieving the mission of the agency to strengthen families and keep children safe through initial and ongoing family assessment, safety management and case planning services, successful reunification; successful and expedited adoptions or other permanent placements; or youth transitions into adulthood.
