JOB DESCRIPTION: Intensive In-Home Services or Outpatient Therapist Responsibilities include: • Serve as the Team Leader on the Intensive In-Home Services team. • Provide Family and Individual Therapy based on cognitive behavioral, problem solving and solution focused oriented model that encourages the development of linkages with natural helping networks and community resources, addresses anger management techniques, and teaches appropriate communication skills • Development , implement and monitoring of the Person Centered Plan which guides the services • Person Centered planning meetings and meetings for Person Centered Plan development, updates or revisions. • Crisis response and intervention available on 24/7/365 to clients • Provide Individual supervision and Group Consultation to team members • Family- focused services that consider the entire family's needs, and are delivered primarily in the family's home. • Provide parenting skills training and help the family build skills to increase their ability to deal with the youth’s mental health diagnosis; • Defuse the current crisis, evaluate its nature, and intervene to reduce the likelihood of a recurrence; • Ensure linkage to needed community resources and services; • Education and training of caregivers and direct individual activities • Support on-going treatment and functional gain • Daily and community living skills • Behavior and anger management techniques • Symptom monitoring and self management of symptoms • Delivery of service focuses on preventive, developmental and therapeutic • Services are focused on assisting clients in preventing, overcoming, managing functional deficits in school, home and community. • Assist the primary caregiver and family in acquiring skills needed to assist the client in all functional domains • Teach appropriate parenting skills, such as use of praise and other reinforcing consequences; prompting procedures; contingency contracting procedures; ignoring; response cost; time out antecedent-behavior consequent model for analyzing behavior. In addition, alternatives to corporal punishment and neglect, which encourages a no-hit policy, age appropriate expectations, parent as a role model, choices and consequences, display of greater parent/child affection and trust, in home interventionist as a role model, stress management techniques, and interpersonal communication skills. • To assist in the development and/or maintenance of appropriate behavioral self control by providing monitoring and support of the client in his/her home or other places in the community during periods of symptom exacerbation or when functional problems interfere role functioning. • To assist in the development and/or maintenance of skills, behavior, and responsibilities as outlined in the service plan needed to function successfully, with the greatest possible degree of self-determination and independence, in the family, school, and community. REQUIREMENTS: • Be available to work with the client and family weekly and have the ability to deliver services in various environments, but mainly in the home. • 24/7 on call availability (on-call rotation). Response either telephonically or face to face. Face to face within 2 hours. • Attend and provide at least one or more hours of direct supervision each month and complete the required 20 hours of training within 90 days of hire. • Document direct service delivery according to Medicaid and CCHS standards • Provide supervision to team. Group consultation on a weekly basis and individual supervision monthly. QUALIFICATIONS: • Masters Degree in a human service field and must be at least provisionally licensed. Full Licensure Status preferred (LCSW, LPC or Ph. D.) • Two or more years experience in the delivery of mental health treatment to children and/or adolescents preferred. • Must be at least 18 years of age
