Job Title: Youth and Family Support Worker Company: Yellowstone Boys & Girls Ranch Location: Billings, MT Description: Provide youth mentoring services to at-risk youth in the Billings, Livingston or Lewistown community POSITIONS AVAILABLE IN BILLINGS, LIVINGSTON AND LEWISTOWN MT QUALIFICATIONS: Must have a minimum of 2 years experience in working with SED children/youth and families, completed 2 years of college education in a human service field,. SERVICE RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Establish and maintain open lines of communication with families and other staff working with the families to ensure that the issues of concern in the families are also discussed and worked on with the youth during YFSW time. 2. Assist / support the treatment family's implementation of the youth's individual treatment plan (ITP) through planned one-on-one interactions with youth. 3. Communicate weekly with the Treatment Manager/Clinical Supervisor for consultation regarding the children/youth and families being served. 4. Complete and turn in contact notes and billing sheets weekly to the Community Division office. 5. Promote gradual emotional growth in the youth and family. Fostering support through natural social support networks and basic/routine community services. 6. Ensure the prevention of out-of-home or higher level placements. 7. Serve as a professional member of youth treatment team by attending team meetings as needed and working in cooperation with team members in the on going development and implementation of the youth's ITP. 8. Assist family to develop and maintain positive structure, supervision and discipline. 9. Assist child in developing social and relationship skills. 10. All other duties as assigned by supervisor.
