Clinical Services Para Los Niños recognizes that the stress of living in poverty can bring on mental health problems in some families and that others are living in poverty due to existing mental health issues. To address these issues, the agency provides Mental Health Services under the aegis of Los Angeles County’s Department of Mental Health (DMH). The program treats an unusually young population for a mental health clinic-serving mostly children under the age of twelve. Multi-systematic issues brought on by poverty, including physical and sexual abuse, result in depression and/or anxiety. Helping Children and families work through these issues is the key to improving their relationships with themselves and those around them. We are currently seeking qualified applicants for a Clinical Services Supervisor position. Clinical Services Supervisor Role: Under the supervision of Clinical Services Director, the Clinical Services Supervisor shall provide supervision to team of case managers and clinicians who provide mental health services. Assists to monitor contract compliance regarding clinical services and monitors case file compliance for cases receiving clinical services. Develops and maintains staff schedules. Participates in activities related to personnel issues, such as, recruiting, interviewing, hiring, evaluating and disciplining. Ensures that all laws applying to child protection, child abuse, and confidentiality are upheld. May be responsible for managing small caseload of families on an as needed basis. Maintains referral log and ensures new client follow-up. Reviews and monitors staff productivity and clinical documentation standards and attends key Department of Mental Health meetings representing PLN. Qualification Requirements: Education/Experience • LCSW required for a minimum of two years. • Two or more years prior service as a mental health supervisor with background in child/adolescent and family mental health. • Bilingual English/Spanish required. Special skills/Abilities • Strong knowledge in Child Abuse/Crisis Intervention issues • Knowledge of Evidenced Based Practices and Promising Practices. • Knowledge of LA County Mental Health documentation and standards. • Knowledge of field and school based mental health services.
