Basic Functions : Under general direction, plan, coordinate and implement the operations of the day care program site; ensure program conformity with applicable government and agency standards; evaluate program implementation and recommend modifications as needed. Responsibilities : Under direction, ensure that the activities of this position and relevant programs are consistent with the mission, vision, and values of the Secretariat for Catholic Charities Health and Human Services and Catholic Charities Services Corporation. Interview and recommend hiring of teaching and service staff; initiate and recommend personnel actions such as promotions, disciplinary or dismissal measures. Evaluate employee performance and recommend salary adjustments as appropriate following current procedures and policies. Confer with parents regarding facility activities, policies and enrollment procedures. Confer with teaching staff regarding child's behavioral or learning problems and recommend methods of modifying inappropriate behavior and encouraging positive learning experiences. Review and evaluate facility activities to ensure conformance to state and local regulations. Prepare, recommend and submit center budget to accounting and/or administration for review and approval. Maintain and monitor finances of the center. Ensure program viability. Authorize purchase of instructional materials and teaching aids such as books, toys and games designed to stimulate learning. Responsible for the recruitment and enrollment of children into day care in accordance with the recruitment plan. Maintain center's compliance with Ohio Department of Job and Family Services Licensing Rules, Step Up to Quality, and Child & Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) Guidelines. Arrange medical attention for ill or injured child in accordance with parental instructions. May perform classroom teaching duties during absence of regular teacher. Perform other duties as necessary to accomplish objectives. Combination of experience and education normally represented by an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field. Bachelor's Degree preferred. Physical examination by a licensed physician required including a TB test. Current certification in First Aid and CPR (infant, child and adult), Child Abuse Recognition, and Communicable Disease Recognition or attained within six (6) months from date of hire. Must have three to five years of related experience including supervision. Must be able to effectively and productively work with people of very diverse economic, cultural and administrative backgrounds. Must be well organized, detail oriented and the ability to maintain confidentiality. Must have competent oral, written and interpersonal communications skills. Must be able to work independently from general instruction. Must have the ability to effectively prioritize and implement a variety of concurrent and varying activities. Must have a good working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office software. Final candidate is required to be fingerprinted to complete background check. GENERAL : Under the guidance of the Director of Professional Staff Health/Welfare Plans, manages benefit-related activities and communications associated with on-boarding of new staff physicians and executives. Provides analysis and leadership in the consultation, design, development and implementation of applicable professional staff benefit programs. Performs ongoing analysis and evaluation to ensure competitive, yet cost effective, overall benefit program strategies.    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education, Knowledge, and Skills Bachelor's Degree in Business, Human Resources, Communications or related field. Requires exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to effectively communicate with a variety of people, including senior level physicians and executives.   Must demonstrate a professional attitude and appearance. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, and ability to learn specialized software functions; experience with Web design is a plus.   Must be a flexible team player, able to work independently, and able to prioritize projects and manage multiple tasks in a timely, efficient and sensitive manner.   Must be discreet in the use and divulging of confidential information.  REQUIRED LENGTH AND TYPE OF EXPERIENCE: Two years of related experience in a medical, commercial, or industrial environment required. An additional three years of practical experience in benefits or communications can be considered in lieu of Bachelor's Degree.   REQUIRED LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, OR REGISTRY: CEBS is a plus. REQUIRED PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS: Dexterity sufficient to perform computer functions; normal or corrected vision; extensive sitting and frequent walking; occasional lifting or carrying from 5 to 15 pounds; ability to travel between Cleveland Clinic facilities as needed.
