Description: Community Mental Health agency seeking LPC's, LCSW's and PsyD'sPosition Title: Therapist - LPC Opening Date: 11 / 06 / 09 Closing Date: 12 / 05 / 09 Position Description: Licensed Professional Counselors / Clinical Psychologists / LCSW most often work in counseling centers and / or group practices. LPCs often: interview patients, give diagnostic tests and assessments, provide individual, family, or group psychotherapy, design and implement behavior modification programs. Some LPCs / LCSWs collaborate with physicians and other specialists to develop and implement treatment and intervention programs that patients can understand and comply with. Date of Advertisement: 11 / 06 / 09 Location of Position(s): Tucker, Georgia 30084 Major Duties: The candidate will interview children and adolescents and give diagnostic tests. The LPC will also provide in-home services including, individual, family, and group psychotherapy, neuro-developmental therapy, substance-abuse therapy, and may perform psychosocial assessments. The LPC will also be responsible for updating individual service and treatment plans, communicating with various referral agencies including DFACS, DJJ, Juvenile Courts, and Schools, and assisting a team of Community Support Individuals (Case Managers) and collaborating with other mental health professionals. Qualifications / Requirements (PLEASE READ): If all qualifications are not met, your application will not be considered. Qualifying experience for this position includes at least five (5) years of specialized experience which is directly related to the position, and has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge and skills to successfully perform the duties of the position, including five years experience with trauma, and EMDR. Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Nursing, Chemical Dependency or Counseling and must have LPC, LCSW or PsyD status in the state of Georgia. Also, the candidate should have experience with C&A clients, MICPs, administering CAFAS, Individual Service Plans (ISPs), and familiarity with clinical terminology. Bilingual a plus.
