ORIGINAL JOB LISTING Community Outreach Coordinator- Alexandria, Va. Full time WP The Community Outreach Coordinator works to raise community awareness for Capital Hospice through a variety of efforts such as, but not limited to, special events, speaking engagements and local fund raising. The Community Outreach Coordinator serves in a management role, overseeing the work of the Volunteer Services Coordinator and the leadership of the volunteer program for a specific region of Capital Hospice. This individual serves as Capital Hospice's local presence in the community, capitalizing on local opportunities, building relationships with community members, businesses, and donors. This individual will coordinate activities with staff including but not limited to Development Department, Communications Department, Regional Staff, Speakers Bureau, Director of Family Services, Business Marketing and volunteers, capitalizing on opportunities to promote Capital Hospice to the community.Requirements:* BA / BS or equivalent in human services, education or management required.* Two years responsible administrative experience including program coordination or supervisory experience required.* Hospice experience strongly preferred.* Excellent verbal and written communication skills and public speaking skills.* Excellent interpersonal and supervisory skills.* Ability to manage multiple tasks and stressful situations with a positive and professional attitude.
