Description: Victim AdvocateTracking Code32025 Job DescriptionEnsures that the emotional, social and safety needs of their clients and / or the clients' family are met and maintained on an individual basis in accordance with policies and procedures and current federal, state and local standards, guidelines, and regulations. Provides crisis intervention and assists families in understanding the implications and complexities of domestic violence. Collaborates with the Family Advocacy Program (FAP), the Army Community Service Family Advocacy Program Manager (FAPM), law enforcement, legal and medical facilities, and the command to assure safety plans are coordinated. Ensures the availability of 24-hour victim advocacy services either through personal or telephonic contact. Position requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent and at least 2 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Individual must be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Works under general supervision or independently and typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
