Duties Continued: Coordinate consultations between various health care organizations on an off post and recommend ways to improve on support issues on hand. Coordinate with various staff with-in the department to gather data and process validated database material / issues. Explore and improve on health support issues on and off the military facility in support of installation behavioral health plan, maintain an accurate data base of all behavioral health programs available and maintain office files in support of installation behavioral health support plan. Develops a baseline database on all units supported by the installation's behavior health support plan. Performs a variety of administrative duties to support the administration and operation of the department.

U.S. Citizen Major Duties:Provides support to the Department of Behavioral Health (DBH) as directed by conducting efficiency studies compiling information and reviews of Installation Behavioral Health Services Plan and serving as alternate point of contact for administrative matters. Attend meetings as designated by superiors, communicates and documents minutes during designated meetings. Coordinate and facilitate, implement and monitor services between Soldier, Family Support Center, Chaplains' Support, Soldier Readiness Processing (SRP) site, the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), TRICARE network providers, Case Managers and other installation facilities as appropriate and or needed. Attends staff and committee meetings concerning administrative matters of the department. Collects data and prepares patient information as instructed. Basic Requirements:
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicant must possess one year of specialized experience that equipped the applicant with detailed knowledge of social and community service resources in the local area; as well as appropriate information classification procedures, in order to build and maintain an accurate information file. General knowledge is required of Social Work Services / Mental Health Services program functions, regulations and procedures, as well as sources of detailed information on specific questions in order to determine the type and level of assistance needed and respond to a wide variety of client requests for information, assistance and referral. Skill in routine fact-finding and analysis is required to interview individuals, obtain factual information and explain agency procedures and regulations to the section clients. This includes skill in obtaining relevant factual information from individuals who are emotionally upset and / or unwilling to admit to a problem, and who unaware of the service options available to them. Knowledge of English grammar and usage and of the vocabulary of the system is required in order to write procedures and information statements and to explain procedures outside the organization. A qualified typist is required.
EDUCATION SUBSTITUTION FOR SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Graduate education or an internship meets the specialized experience required above GS-5 only in those instances where it is directly related to the work of the position.
