***PLEASE INCLUDE THE POSITION YOU ARE APPLYING FOR IN THE SUBJECT LINE WHEN EMAILING YOUR RESUME*** The NC's Childrens Advocacy Center is current seeking a Child Victim Advocate The child advocate provides outreach and support for the alleged child victims of abuse and non-offending family members and works as part of a multi-disciplinary team. This position requires someone who is committed to the mission of the Child Advocacy Center who is willing to work flexible hours and share on-call responsibilities. This is a full-time, salaried position with excellent benefits working under the direction and supervision of the Executive Director. Qualifications The child advocate is a professional position and a bachelor?s degree in social work, psychology, criminal justice or related field is required. A Master?s degree in Social Work or Counseling is preferred. Work Experience A minimum of two years of professional experience working with children and families where abuse and violence are identified issues is required. Previous professional experience in working with the criminal justice or child welfare system and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team is preferred.
