Assistant Director for Social Services

Description:
The Assistant Director for Social Services is responsible for the supervision over 15 staff handling Case Management for a scattered site and supportive housing programs for people with AIDS. The Position is under the direct supervision of the Deputy Director for Supportive Housing. Responsibilities 1. Supervise over 15 staff including Senior Case Managers and Case managers which provide the social services for over 250 units of Supportive Housing. 2. Provide management and oversight while maintaining high performance operation of: case planning and management, data collection, quality assurance, contract billing and compliance. 3. Insure Program operations of Social Service staff including: home visits and service arrangements as indicated such as referrals for medical care, home care, and mental health and substance abuse services. 4. Coordinate with staff in response to emergency situations that occur in the residences such as fire, burglary, potential suicide or extreme violence. 5. Assist the Deputy Director with coordination of budgeting, program planning and strategic direction of Program. 6. Assist the Deputy Director with resource development and fundraising: proposal writing, fundraiser planning, and other special projects. 7. Assist the Deputy Director with relations with applicable government agencies. 8. Perform other duties as requested by Executive Director or the Director of Housing.
