Hillside Children?s Center FAMILY ADVOCATE Hillside Children?s Center has an opening for a PER DIEM Family Advocate. Experience as a parent with a child with Severe Emotional Disorder (SED) required. Good verbal and written communication plus listening skills. Hear and support families from a peer perspective, teach and guide families to work within various systems as well as helping them access community and natural supports. A non-judgmental approach to working with families is a must. Efficient time management and planning with overall organizational skills a must. Must be a parent or care giver of a child with a SED diagnosis. Must be able to work flexible schedule (weekdays, nights and / or weekends). Will be working in Niagara County. Minimum of a High School Diploma required. Valid NYS Drivers License and driving record that meets Agency requirements. Must be cleared through NYS Central Registry as well as NYSOMH Fingerprinting.
