Description: Social Workers required for the UK to work with Children & Families
TTM Healthcare Recruitment are currently recruiting Social Workers in the area of Children & Families for our client based in London. TTM have many years experience of re-locating Social workers from America to the UK and ensuring that you are supported all the way through the process post interview.
Main duties and Responsibilities
To undertake the assessment of the needs and wishes of service users and their carers and ensure their incorporation into individual care plans with particular reference to discriminated against groups.
To undertake the investigation of child protection referrals and to provide assessments that facilitates decision-making by appropriate line managers (dependant on the level of expertise and training) and take into account the multi disciplinary context. .
To provide a social work service as agreed in care plans and in accordance with departmental policies and priorities and to participate in the costing, co ordination, monitoring and review of care plans in line with department procedures.
To assess and promote the life chances of LAC, including , their education, health and leisure needs. To maintain awareness of current legislative requirements as relating to children and to participate in relevant training.
To produce court statements and when required, give evidence in court. To provide clear verbal and written reports to child protection conferences, reviews, planning, meetings and any other purpose as required
To maintain accurate and full records of interventions with service users in line with Department's policies and procedures. To attend and participate in care / case reviews / conferences as required
To use regular supervision and staff appraisal and participate in staff meetings to ensure an effective service to users and carers and further professional development.
To participate in the development and implementation of performance indicators and quality service standards. To participate in duty systems as required.
Experience
Minimum experience required, one year working in the area of Children & Families
GSCC - All applicants should be eligible to apply for GSCC registration which is the validation requirement for Social workers in the UK, i.e. have a BSW or MSW in Social work
