With a staff of 75 and a budget of $5.4 million, JVS assists individuals in defining and achieving their employment goals through career and employment counseling, job search skills instruction, job development, job placement assistance, and vocational assessment and training. JVS has offices in Los Angeles, San Fernando Valley, and programs throughout Los Angeles.

Duties
Oversees the employment activities of a Case Management Team. Supervises, directs, monitors, and evaluates case manager staff. Directs overall office management. Enforces client tracking and reporting systems. Prepares monthly Team management reports. Assesses quality control monitoring and reporting functions. Successfully places required percentage of all clients into unsubsidized employment within specified months. Ensures that clients are encouraged in an enthusiastic and positive environment by all staff. Ensures that all client non-compliances are immediately detected and reported as required by procedure. Ensures effective program coordination with the County, problem resolution, and teamwork. Develops and maintains outstanding relations with the business community, public and nonprofit entities, and community organizations. Meets all standards established for this position as outlined in the performance criteria. Performs other duties as may be assigned by management.
Requirements
Experience in supervising six or more employment staff; experience in business, education, social services agency and community group liaison; and competency in use of personal computers including word processing and Lotus 123.
Licensure / Education
College degree from an accredited college; two years experience in job development and placement, and / or employment counseling. MUST HAVE A MSW AND SPEAK SPANISH
